News and Notes is a joint publication of The Gestalt Journal Press and The Gestalt
Therapy Network. Published irregularly, it reaches more than four thousand
readers via email worldwide and contains information of interest to the Gestalt
community ranging from employment notices to workshop announcements, to
requests for information and references.
Gestalt Associates Training Los Angeles (GATLA) is a training center dedicated to
excellence in psychotherapy training. Our goal is to promote the application and
development of contemporary Gestalt Therapy theory and practice. We focus, within
a respectful environment, on establishing, improving and integrating the personal
and professional skills needed to support high quality therapy. GATLA is committed
to providing comprehensive programs that encourage participants to develop their
personal style, to integrate previous training (within and outside of Gestalt Therapy)
and to learn to support their work at an exceptional level of performance.
Certification by examination is available.
The Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy, an international
community (AAGT) is committed to the advancement of theory, philosophy,
practice and research in gestalt therapy. Personal growth, mental health, education,
organizational development, political/social change, and the fine and performing
arts are all included within the broad scope of gestalt therapy.
Gestalt Review is a publication that concentrates on the Gestalt approach to
clinical, family, group, and organizational topics.studies and papers dealing with
specific clinical issues are regularly featured, and the journal also publishes
original papers dealing with politics, philosophy, culture, and gender.
The American Counseling Association is dedicated to the growth and development of the
counseling profession and those who are served.
